Technocel Limited is an independent company specialising in the
field of Telecommunications and Computing. It is not unusual for both the Prosecution and Defence
to instruct this company to analyse the same exhibit on their behalf. Our
team of forensic engineers have over 50 years combined experience within
the communications, electronics and computing industry. All analysis reports
completed at Technocel will carry full technical support providing a vital
service for the legal profession.

Staff
Each member of staff employed at Technocel will have already signed
a binding contract to ensure that data protected information or case history
will NOT under any circumstances, be disclosed to third parties. Only qualified
Engineers will be permitted to examine exhibits submitted to Technocel for
forensic analysis. Each engineer will have already achieved a minimum of
two years cellular experience and be qualified in the field of electronics,
telecommunications, or computing.

Court
We accept that court attendance is all part of the job. Magistrates or high court, each engineer will support their analysis reports by attending as an expert witness.

Expert Witness (Definition)
A person who is a specialist in a subject, often technical, who may present his/her expert opinion without having been a witness to any occurrence relating to the lawsuit or criminal case. It is an exception to the rule against giving an opinion in trial, provided that the expert is qualified by evidence of his/her expertise, training and special knowledge. If the expertise is challenged, the attorney for the party calling the "expert" must make a showing of the necessary background through questions in court, and the trial judge has discretion to qualify the witness or rule he/she is not an expert, or is an expert on limited subjects.

Important
In order to abide by the data protection laws, any information relating
to criminal activity (i.e. data recovered from exhibits) will be handled
in strictest confidence. Completed analysis reports will ONLY be made
available to personnel who have previously acquired the appropriate authorisation.
